Birds & The Bees

Some poor mother bird lost her eggs and nest. The wind on Wednesday knocked it from our front tree. Four eggs and this beautiful nest. Today I talked to Kirsten and Kylie about the birds and the bees. No, not the convo you are thinking. We talked about how they need their mother to sit on them and keep them warm until they hatch. They need their mother to feed them once they are born. Then we talked about how it relates to humans. From there we went deeper to how we need God's love and protection to keep us growing and alive. It was so sweet how they asked questions.

We were not outside long when Kylie noticed the bees on the flowers. She wanted me to kill them. I talk her about how the bees keep the flowers alive. She thought for a minute and decided it was just like "The Bee Movie". I agreed and left it at that.

Such a beauty right in our front yard. We didn't have to travel or pay admission. Priceless moments like these make me so happy to be a mother.
